Asian carriers agree to spend $4.1 billion on Boeing jets

Malaysia Airlines Bhd. has agreed to purchase 25 737 Max 8 commercial airplanes at a list price of $2.75 billion, and the carrier also took options for a similar number in a combined deal valued at $5.5 billion, according to Bloomberg.

Meanwhile, China Southern Airlines Co. announced it will buy six 787-9 Dreamliners for $1.38 billion.
